This morning I did a few more pans of gravel before we parted Chicken headed for Tok, once again a few flakes in each pan and then we were off. The road once again was dirt and some of it rougher than YESTERDAY! Fortunately it was mixed with some paved stuff, the last 10 miles or so were good highway back on the Alaskan Highway. We arrived and hit the visitors center and then settled into a campground, this a little friendlier at $27, nothing fancy but everything we had to have to get by. Later we took a little trip around Tok and BING BANG we saw it all! Tomorrow we head off for Fairbanks about 200 miles away for a few days of rest and laundry then the next stop will be our main destination of Denali National Park! We are currently about 5 days ahead of our original schedule so we may have some extra time to goof around.
