We arrived here yesterday afternoon after passing through Cooper Landing. It was packed due to the salmon fishing in the rivers so this was our next stop anyway and only 50 miles farther. We are at a campground named Beluga Lookout, we are sitting on a bluff over the ocean and it is much cooler here. Its about 12:30 and the tide is just about all the way out and down about 22 feet. Looks strange to see land out in the ocean. We strolled down to the beach yesterday and walked a ways and also walked by some old Russian Churches still here. This town really goes back in time.

We're not doing much today, got some laundry done and just enjoying the view. Next stop will be Homer Alaska for a few nights with hopefully an even better view of the ocean. Earlier while sitting on the bluff a young eagle flew past at eye level, a local told us they can be seen a lot in the evening when the wind is blowing.

9:30
So while out sitting on the bluff overlooking the ocean a juvenile Eagle lands in a nearby evergreen tree and is being harassed by a couple of magpies, kind of funny as this Eagle is 10 times the size of the magpies and could have a nice meal out of them! A little while later we saw a mature Bald Eagle soaring back and forth for 20 minutes or so. I got some great shots of it!
