Joshua Tree National Park - Barstow

February 1st afternoon,

Trip log, 192 miles to Barstow, total so far 384

Happy Birthday to our awesome Daughter in Law Molly!

So we decided to go to Joshua Tree National Park on the way to our next stop which is Barstow California   for a campground night to empty and refill tanks for next journey. I can tell you now I would never recommend this park as a destination and unless you are a senior with a Parks pass cause it is $30 to drive through and basically that is all you will do, few spots you can stop to view, it is about 45 miles through the park and we never even saw a Joshua Tree till about mile 43! There are a few spots  you can get out and hike but if you are pulling an rv or a car no chance. Big thumbs down from us!

So we were gonna boon-dock there for a night outside the park but blew it off since we were so disappointed and headed to the next stop which was Barstow Ca.. We spend the night here in a little campground called Shady Lane, had everything we needed for the night there and it was $41

Joshua Tree.

They DO EXIST!
