May 10th, 2013 Friday
Well time is quickly approaching.......finally! One week from today we begin our journey of a lifetime headed for Alaska. Our friends Terry and Dale await our arrival so we can all take off together. Preparation of our RV is nearly complete and I am bringing it home tomorrow to begin loading the final items. An oil change is going to be done on Monday and will be its first since we purchased it a year ago. A few items to work on yet, Terry told us about him installing a bug screen for the radiator and that sounded like a pretty smart idea so I bought one and have to install it tomorrow. I also need to make some blackout covers for the vents and a couple windows since daylight in Alaska when we are there will be approximately 19-20 hours of daylight.
My niece Christine and her family are going to come visit us at the campground in Elkhart on next Saturday, it has been about 3 years since I saw her last. We have a lot to catch up on!
Well this was just a brief update to make sure i remember how to blog. :)
