Iowa City Coralville Lake

We at at our first camp on the way. Iowa City corp park, Coralville Lake, nice quiet park with full hook ups for tho who care and $24 a night. There is a flood release a short distance away that is really roaring with water

There is a recently discovered fossil area which showed up after a flood a we years back, we went out in search of some of them and found these ....

On our way here we stopped at the JC Whitney warehouse and store

For a large warehouse it had the suckiest store you could imagine, I asked for one thing and of course it was out of stock :-/ but I picked up a couple of small RV items. This was a good place to stop for lunch and as you can see we weren't exactly in the way of customers parking. Lets see, I thnk there were us 4 and 2 others in the store. 

Another stop we made was at Antique Archeology (American Pickers) as a lot know them by. Danielle was not there though but I picked up some stickers and snapped a couple of shots. This is just another tourist trap. Coffee mugs $12.99 T-shirts $25 Stickers $5, I bet they sell hundreds more in advertising as they do antiques, besides you would have to be pretty wealthy to buy anything there.

The funny thing was when we came out of the store a guy was taking pictures of our motor homes! LOL

Tomorrow's destination is just a stop over at an RV park in Sloan Iowa..

So far we have avoided any of the bad weather but the wind has been hell :-(
